Full form of Dmat is dematerialisation . It means all transfer of shares and holding will be online and if you purchase or sell the shares , there is no need to deliver the shares . Dmat account is very helpful to buy and sell shares from any place . Just with Rs. 100 , you can open Dmat account from any bank who have authority for this . SBI , ICICI and HDFC are main bank , where you can open Dmat account . After opening Dmat account , you can start net trading . The bank where you open Dmat account will give you Dmat Account Id and password and from your home , you can buy and sell the shares . If you are not expert in the field of investing .
